How to: Backup SalesPartner
Part 1: Basic data backup
Learn how to regularly create a SalesPartner backup which you can restore in case of an emergency. Regularly backing up can avoid data loss in the event of hardware destruction, loss or failure.

Step 1.
Open SalesPartner and click More
Step 2.
Click Backup Now
Step 3.
Click Yes to confirm
Step 4.
You can now watch the backup being created then uploaded. Your previous backups are visible in the left column. Backups are tagged by date and time, showing most recent, first. By default, 30 backup spaces are allocated to your registration. When you exceed your limit of 30 backups, SalesPartner will automatically delete the oldest backup for you. We recommend that you backup at least once a week, but you may wish to backup more frequently. Once you complete your backup, SalesPartner will automatically remind you to backup again in 7 days time.

Part 2: CD/DVD Backup | Media, Reports, Photos, Letters
Part 1 explained how to backup your SalesPartner data including contacts, listings, activity and notes. To backup larger media files, you can use CD/DVD Backup Wizard in SalesPartner Utilities.
Step 1.
Open SalesPartner Utilities and click CD/DVD Backup Wizard
Step 2.
Click Next on the intro screen
Step 3.
Select the file types you wish to backup and click Next. Note: If you are backing up to a CD, your total file size should not exceed: 700 MB (approx.). If you are backing up to a DVD, your total file size should not exceed 4.7 GB (4700 MB).
When you click Next, you will see the files being compressed in preparation for burning to CD/DVD.
Step 4.
When the compression is complete, you will be prompted to invoke your Write to CD software. Click Yes, then follow your CD/DVD burning software instructions to complete the process.
Media Backup: alternate method
Suitable for when your PC does not have a CD/DVD writer, or if you wish to backup to an external drive or Cloud storage service.
Step 1.
Locate the spartner folder in your C: drive
C:\spartner
Right-click on the spartner folder and click Copy

Step 2.
Open the destination (where you want to put your backup) folder on your PC.
Right click and Paste the spartner folder into your storage location.
