In this walk-through we'll export a database of contacts who have been captured in PropertyFiles. When we import the contacts, we'll preserve their activity as tags that can be filtered in SalesPartner. This will help us to match potential buyers with other listings so we can email or text out new listing alerts. https://www.propertyfiles.co.nz/ As well as PropertyFiles, we'll also be using LibreOffice to format the spreadsheet. 1. Contact Export Log in to PropertyFiles and export contacts to obtain a CSV spreadsheet. Right-click the CSV file and open with LibreOffice In the Import Settings screen tick Detect special numbers. Select the Phone column and drop down the Column type to select Text. This will preserve the leading zero prefix for mobile numbers. Now that the phone number is correctly formatted, save a copy of the spreadsheet then exit LibreOffice. 2. Contact Import Open SalesPartner, Import Data, Import Contact CSV, and select the PropertyFiles CSV file. The PropertyFiles column headers are shown on the right. On the left match each row by double clicking into the cell and selecting a matching field from the SalesPartner list. Note the custom fields Other1,2,3 are used to retain address, date, and opt-in data. Tip: Use the Load Match option to import this template that automatically loads the column map pictured above. ![]()
Proceed with the import then click Finish and open Contacts. 3. Filtering Contacts In Contacts open the column options menu (top left) and enable columns: Other1, Other2, Other3 In the Other1 Column header open the filter and select which property(ies) you wish to filter. Note: Use Shift+Down arrow to select the filtered contacts (instead of the All button). Now you can merge an email or SMS message to the selected contacts.
