Tracking the latest sales information via REINZ

REINZ normally processes the previous month's sales around by the 7-10th day of the following month. So by now you should be able to import your local area's sales statistics for July 2020. This can provide up to the minute accuracy in Comparable Market Analysis reports for your prospective vendors.

Follow these steps to import the latest sales into SalesPartner. Open the REINZ website.

Click Login and enter your REINZ ID and password.

Open the Statistics portal

Open Classic Search

Select your Region from the drop down menu, then the Council and Suburb (if applicable). Note that the maximum number of sales records you can export in one go is 500.

Under the date range tab use Last 3 months or greater depending on the catchment area.

Click Search to retrieve the sales data.

Click Export as... CSV and save the spreadsheet into your Downloads folder.

Import REINZ CSV into SalesPartner

Open SalesPartner, More, Import Data, REINZ ImportSales Stats (CSV)

Select and open the REINZ CSV file from your downloads folder.

Click Begin.

Open SalesPartner, Gallery, Sales tab.

Enter the suburb as a search filter.

Tip: Try using the bedroom column tool to filter by bedrooms. Hover over the bedrooms column heading and click on the chevron to show the filter options.

Tick the checkbox to select a property, or hold Ctrl and click anywhere on a property row to select it.

Click Print Reports or press Ctrl+P on the keyboard.

Double click the CMA report thumbnail to view the report.

Add property photos

For many sales you'll be able to locate the original marketing photos by simply googling the address.

If available, right click a photo then click Copy.

In SalesPartner double click into the sale and right-click the empty main image area and Paste.

Once you've added the photos for your selected sales, open Print Reports and try the Photo CMA template.

Tip: Press Windows + Shift + S on your keyboard to drag a snapshot for any onscreen image. This is ideal for copying Streetview images where right click copy isn't supported.
