How to transfer contacts from one copy of SalesPartner to another. This guide is for shifting contacts from an isolated salesperson database into a central office database.
In the source database, open Contacts and click All to select all active contacts. Open Tools > Export Contacts
Use the Clear tool to clear any preexisting selected fields - The select fields column should be empty before you proceed. In Available Fields click Contacts > Add All Fields for Selected Table.
IMPORTANT: In Selected Fields select Contact.FullName and press Delete on your keyboard to remove the field.
Click OK to proceed and save the CSV file. Take the file to your destination database.
Backup your Target database first in case you want to re-do an import.
Open SalesPartner > More > Import Data > Import Contact CSV. Open the CSV file you saved previously.
Click Match Fields to map the source fields with their target fields. Click Next to proceed.
For this example, the Status field is included in the source database, therefore we'll use Delete Fixed Field to remove the Status = A value. Then click Next, and the contacts will be imported.
For Trade Me uploads, if a listing's category in Trade Me Category Override equals Lifestyle for Sales > Dwelling, then the Bedrooms and the bathrooms fields in SalesPartner must be greater than zero, or else the listing will be rejected.
In Listing Entry > Internet > Trade Me Category Override, check the number of bedrooms and bathrooms a property has before selecting Lifestyle for Sales > Dwelling.
