A new version of SalesPartner is available to download. This version contains several bug fixes and enhancements.
Contact Visits in Activity - fixed the screen order, as well as the issue which caused Phone Type fields to go blank.
Deleting records from the To-Do List is fixed.
Fixed an error which affected Gallery Date columns when sorted by: Listed Date, Sale Date and Unconditional Date.
In Contacts, Sort by Street now sorts by street name first (alphabetical) then street number (special numerical).
Introducing support for tel: and callto: links in Contact Entry.
In Contact Entry > Details tab, you can call a contact directly from SalesPartner using the phone buttons next to their phone number fields. The phone call will be initiated by your default PC phone application such as Skype or Remote Phone Call for Android, or any other desktop VoIP / phone app which can receive tel: / callto: commands. We'll be testing WhatsApp, Viber and Google Talk, to compare which services offer the best rates for NZ calls.
To install version 22.214.171.124, follow these steps:
Open SalesPartner Utilities, click update SalesPartner > Yes
Follow the prompts to complete the upgrade.
Important: If you were previously running version 11 or newer, a data-file upgrade is not required. If you are prompted to re-read your data-files, click No. If you are running SalesPartner-Cloud, updates will be automatically applied during the next 48 hours. If you are running SalesPartner on a network, close SalesPartner on all workstations before running the update on the host server / main PC first. Then install the update on other workstations. Version 126.96.36.199 is backwards compatible with SalesPartner versions 10.0.1.44 or newer.
Some PCs may revert to default Windows Language and Region settings after updating to Windows 10. If a Synchro-Server Host PC is not using the NZ date format, this can cause errors for client PCs when attempting to synchronize, such as "Type Mismatch".
To fix this issue, open Control Panel on your server PC and change your Region and Language settings to English, New Zealand. You can tell if your date settings are correct by checking the date format of your System Tray clock.
The date format displayed in the example above is incorrect - mm/dd/yyyy instead of dd/mm/yyyy.
Tip: To open Control Panel on Windows 10, click Start and type 'control' then select 'Control Panel' from the search results. To open your Settings menu press Windows+i together on your keyboard. To access your system settings menu, which includes Control Panel, press Windows+X.
A bug has been reported in Contacts. The sort order shown in the drop-down menu does not always match the displayed order on screen. To determine the true sort order, locate the column header arrow as pictured next to First Name in the example below. Currently, you can sort various columns by clicking on the column header (including reversible ordering), rather than using the classic drop-down menu method.
To copy an existing listing in SalesPartner, follow these steps:
Open Listing Entry
Click Lookup Listing (press Ctrl + F on your keyboard) to lookup the listing you wish to copy.
Enter the new Reference ID code, or click New Reference to automatically assign the next available code to your desired prefix for example, ZGD
You can edit your Reference Filter Settings in Synchronize to specify which listings you wish to transfer, by listing prefix.
For example, if you wish to synchronize any listings which have the ID prefix 'PP', enter 'PP*' into your Reference Filter field.
To edit your Reference Filter, open SalesPartner > More > Synchronize > Settings > Modify Server
Enter your desired listing prefix's followed by an asterisk, for example: PP*
To enter multiple reference filters, separate each filter by a space, for example: PP* RE*
Tip: RE* is a commonly used filter for transferring REINZ sales statistics.
