A salesperson found they could only download one or two listings from Realestate.co.nz, and any subsequent downloads would fail showing this error: 'Record already locked by this session'.
Solution: If you download a listing and then edit that listing's details (such as suburb or advert), you must tick the save button before you attempt to download additional listings. When a change remains unsaved as pictured, the database is effectively locked and new listings cannot be imported.
Question: If I'm logged in as Office I can print letters from SalesPartner, but when I log in as a salesperson the letters button is greyed out.
Answer: To use letters in SalesPartner as a salesperson, the salesperson must be registered.
Log in again as Office (restart SalesPartner if necessary) and open More > Settings > Salespeople
Lookup the salesperson you wish to register.
In Edit Salespeople, click Reregister to obtain a new registration code (note their subscription must be active).
If their registration code turns green that means they are now registered. Tick Save and then restart SalesPartner to apply changes. Then the letters icon will be enabled for the registered salesperson.
I have a recovery appearing on a salesperson's commission payment invoice which I have managed to delete each time but would like to delete permanently.
Solution: Delete the Recovery entry from the salesperson's Recovery tab, so that it will not automatically be reallocated to future invoices.
In OfficePartner > Salespeople double click to open the salesperson and click on the Recovery tab.
Select the recovery entry and click Delete.
In the ‘basic flyer’ below the property reference ID displays and prints in a faded fashion with ragged underlining.
Solution: In edit mode, select the BestURL element that overlays Ref. Right-click BestURL and click Send to back.
Many reports include translucent hyperlinks behind the Ref field. This is so that if the report is viewed as a PDF, you can click on the reference to view the property online. In this example, the translucent white URL text had been layered on top of the blue reference text instead of underneath it as intended. The BestURL hyperlink is automatically created using information in the Listing Entry Internet tab (Web Link URL, Open2View ID, Trade Me ID, Realestate.co.nz ID).
A conditional sale in OfficePartner suddenly vanished due to a status change. The sale's status had been changed to 'H' - a custom status that is not supported in OfficePartner. To recover the sale, we used the data explorer in restricted settings to locate and then manually change the sale's status back to C.
In Enter Sale Details, changing a sale's status manually via Change Sale Status should be avoided under normal circumstances. To change a sale's status, use the S W F keys (to set your sale as sold, withdrawn, or finalised). Changing a listing's status from OfficePartner here is less risky, because it would still be possible to recover a listing that has an incompatible status in SalesPartner.
