A myriad of errors surfaced on a standalone instance of SalesPartner running in Windows 10. Basic maintenance tasks were unable to complete, and repair attempts (in place reinstall / update) proved futile. By configuring folder exclusions and application exceptions it was possible to repair SalesPartner.
On an instance of Rentals running Windows 10 with Defender AV, attempts to backup resulted in socket errors for both destination options. After checking admin rights and firewall exclusions, we edited the PC's Hosts file to forcefully resolve to the backup IP addresses. This solved the socked error issue effectively. Now backups can be uploaded to both available online destination folder options. It was later discovered that the outbound email SMTP address used for Rentals also needed to be specified in the Hosts file to solve a socket error which occurred when attempting to email statements from Rentals.
