Several users have reported errors when backing up SalesPartner, from the launch prompt as well as through SalesPartner Utilities. A solution is to add an Exclusion to Windows Defender, which is the default antivirus software on Windows 10, and Windows 8/8.1 To add an exclusion, follow these steps: 1. Open Settings. Click Start > Settings. Or press Windows + i on your keyboard 2. Open Update & Security 3. Select Windows Defender, and click Add an exclusion 4. In Processes, Click + to Add exclusion 5. Enter the new exclusion name: RezyUtil.exe and click OK. Now retry SalesPartner Backup. Then retry the backup. Tip: Windows Firewall may also prompt you to allow permission for RezyUtil.exe, if you are not on a Private network, or if permission has not been previously granted under your current network profile. This situation may arise unexpectedly if your network router is rebooted, or if there has been a power outage. To switch from a Public to a Private Network (if you are connected to a network you trust) open Explorer (Windows + E), and select Network from the Navigation Pane. If your network settings are Public (the default for new networks) you'll be prompted to switch to Private to allow network sharing. Here is another way to change your Network Profile from Public to Private on Windows 10: Open Settings > Network & Internet > Select your connection Ethernet/Wi-Fi > Click on the Connection > Switch on Make this PC discoverable.
