OfficePartner: Advertising Costing and Tracking

This is an overview of the advertising costing and tracking system in OfficePartner. There are two key components:

• In Advertising, each property has an advertising record where publishing times and costs for advertisements are maintained. Also, each advert is assigned to a designated payee for the purposes of accounting.
  
• Owing is used to keep track of money owing from vendors as well as vendor contributions towards the marketing campaign.
  

Part 1. Advertising: Getting Started

The first task is to enter the standard publications that you most frequently order. For example if you intend to load advertising for the Property Press magazine, in OfficePartner > Advertising > Maintain Publications > click Insert and enter these required fields:

• Code = PPRESS (a unique short code)
  
• Publication = Property Press
  
• Description = Display advertising or a suitable description of your preference.
  

Click OK to continue. The template, email, and merge fields can be ignored for now.

Note: Advertising activity records are automatically generated in SalesPartner for scheduled adverts. The activity description is formulated by merging this expression: <Description> in <Publication> followed by the advert size. So for the example above, a scheduled advert may appear in SalesPartner activity as:
